This Privacy Policy explains how the JSW Analytics Pipeline handles information obtained through Google and YouTube APIs for the internal operation of the Just Star Wars YouTube channel.
Data accessed
The application may access, with the authorised user's permission:
- Basic information about the authorised YouTube channel and its videos.
- YouTube Analytics information including views, watch time, average view duration, average percentage viewed, subscriber changes, likes, comments, shares, traffic sources and audience-retention information.
- YouTube Reporting information including thumbnail impressions and thumbnail click-through rate where made available by YouTube.
Data not requested
The application does not request permission to upload, modify or delete YouTube content. It also does not request YouTube monetary or revenue analytics permissions.
How the data is used
Data is used solely for internal channel analytics, editorial planning, performance diagnosis and production decision-making for Just Star Wars.
Storage and processing
Analytics collected by the application are stored in a private Google Sheets analytics warehouse controlled by the channel owner. Authorised internal workflows may analyse that information using ChatGPT/OpenAI tools to assist with channel performance analysis and editorial decisions.
Sharing and sale of data
YouTube user data obtained through this application is not sold, rented or used for third-party advertising. It is not made publicly available. Access is limited to the channel owner and authorised internal tools or service providers used to operate the analytics workflow.
Retention
Analytics may be retained for historical comparison and longitudinal channel analysis. Stored records may be deleted or replaced when they are no longer required for those purposes.
Security
Access to the analytics warehouse and associated Google resources is restricted through Google account permissions. The application requests only the scopes required for its stated functions.
Revoking access
The authorised user may revoke the application's Google account access at any time through their Google Account security and third-party access settings. Revoking access stops future API collection.
Google API Services User Data Policy
JSW Analytics Pipeline's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
